For the confident beginner

This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A Regency Shift is your first layer of clothing to go under your Regency dress. This pattern is designed to fit with the Lady Katherine Regency Dress.  What’s great about this pattern is that it is a slightly modern take on an historical garment.  There are only 4 pattern pieces. The triangular gores on the side that you typically see in Regency shifts have been omitted.  The instructions take the mystery out of flat felling the gusset seams and actually illustrate the order in which you sew the seams so your shift looks professional and refined.  The Regency Shift is based on an extant garment, so it retains most of the qualities of the original. It is an A line undergarment with short sleeves (no gathers), and under arm gussets.

Available as a printed pattern or a downloadable PDF that you can print at home.  The printed pattern is printed on light weight bond paper.

Sizes 0 – 30 are included in both the printed pattern and the downloadable PDF. Sizes are nested.  The PDF is layered so you can choose which size to print.

Your PDF files will be available to download immediately after purchase. If you create a Sew Vintagely account, you can access your downloads any time while signed in to your account.
