Apply to test
We are looking for makers to join a pattern testing pool for our very first pattern, Lady Katherine. The pattern is taken directly from a gown that was hand sewn over 200 years ago. Living history and historical fashion enthusiasts should enjoy the experience, but anyone is welcome to apply. We are especially looking for testers who are low-intermediate to advanced sewers and who have experience sewing garments with facings, gathered sleeves, and curved hems.
We pay our testers! If you are selected to join the Lady Katherine testing pool, you will receive $50 via PayPal and a PDF pattern.
- Provide a valid email address
- Join the Facebook group
- Print the pattern
- Complete the pattern within the requested time frame
- Provide clear, constructive feedback
- Take photos of the finished dress (professional quality not required)
We would love it if you shared on social media, but it is not a requirement to be accepted as a tester.
If you would like to be considered, please complete the application. This testing call closes June 4, 2021.
Wondering how we did it? Check out Lauren Dahl’s Pattern Workshop. (Affiliate link; if you purchase the workshop, I will get a small commission at no cost to you.)
I would like to be considered as a tester for the Lady Katherine pattern. I would consider my skill level intermediate to advanced. I have extensive experience with historical clothing. I have made garments for myself and others from Regency, Victorian, Edwardian and other time periods. I have used both historical and modern patterns. I look forward to hearing from you.
Vivo in Italia ,mi piacerebbe fare da tester per abito
